HEHRAI co facilitated the June 9th Match in CRS to end Sexual and gender based Violence. The match which began the the University of Calabar main gate had over 500 women and men in attendance. The protest took through Marian, akin, murtala Mohammed highway to the Nigerian police headquarters Calabar were the founder of HEHRAI Ndodeye Bassey Obongha addressed the Police in the menace and upsurge in cases of sexual violence on the state. She urged the Nigerian police to live up to its mandate to protect lives. She urged the police to join the fight to put and end to child marriage AKA money wife being practiced in CRS, FGM, kidnaps, raping and killings etc. The Assistant public public relations officer who stood in for the commissioner pledged the police support to seeing that SGBV is reduced to its minimum and subsequently completely eradicated.
